Tear-Down & Tire Technician

We are currently seeking a full-time Tear-Down & Tire Technician to dismantle motorcycles into parts and flip biskets.  Ideal candidate is a motorcycle enthusiast with a desire and passion to learn and grow in the industry.  Candidate would have a fundamental mechanical understanding, with no specific degree or prior experience required. 

Cheap Thrills Motorsports is a local motorcycle shop in Eden Prairie that specializes in both New and Used motorcycle repair parts. Offering a one stop shop to find the most cost effective solutions for your project's needs.  With a selection of used, new OEM and new aftermarket parts, our customers are able to make well educated decisions when researching repair parts for their project.  We help people save money and time so they can get back out on the road or trail riding again.

Our company was founded on a passion and desire to race motorcycles.  With that passion we are still heavily involved in the sport still today, offering trackside services and tire changing at select local race events as the Regional Pirelli Race Tire vendor. While a strong part of our business, it also provides us a way for us to give back to the motorcycle community.  Started from the ground up by two motorcycle enthusiast and industry experts. Together we provide 20+ years of industry and racing experience.

Job Description

The Motorcycle Tear Down Technician is responsible for dismantling a variety of motorcycles down into individual parts and components. The Tear Down Tech. is also responsible for ensuring all parts are washed and prepared for photographing. Another duty of this position requires motorcycle tire mounting and balancing. Additionally, offer trackside support as the Regional Pirelli Race Tire vendor at select events throughout the summer.  Typical work hours are M-F 9am to 5pm and additionally select event weekends May through September. Pay is negotiable pending applicant experience.


  • Dismantle motorcycles down into individual parts
  • Perform any needed mechanical repair or service work
    • Tire Changes
    • Race bike maintenance/repair
    • Work Trackside Events (requires some weekends)
  • Clean and prepare parts for picturing
  • Label and Put-Away Parts
  • Pick & package outgoing parts daily
  • Keep Clean & Organized Shop and Work Space


  • Minimal Motorcycle Knowledge and Desire to Learn Required
  • Motorcycle enthusiast
  • No Powersports degree or prior training needed
  • No tools needed (Shop Provided)
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be able to routinely lift up to 50+lbs or more
  • Must be able to work selection weekends May through September only
  • Reliable transportation and Valid DL a must
